A flexible transplanter for all sorts of young plants

For 7 years, the MIDI has been known as TTA’s most popular transplanter. With field experience of over 150 MIDI transplanters, TTA has incorporated all possible demands in the area of transplanting, into one unique transplanter. The MIDI transplanter is available in capacities ranging from 3.000 up to 40.000 plants per hour. It can be utilized for transplanting into trays, packs, shuttle trays and even in loose pots. An unique option for the MIDI is a Vision selection system for transplanting qualified plants only. The MIDI transplanter incorporates all the versatility TTA has become known for.

Workings of the MIDI

The MIDI conveys the donor trays into the machine by means of a chain belt, which buffers up to 4 trays. When the tray is in the correct position, plants are extracted from the tray by means of plant grippers. A pusher pin system from below assists during extraction of the plants from the tray.

On the receiving side, two basic options are possible:

• Transplanting into pots. For this mode, the MIDI can be attached to any straight model of pot filler, assuming that the length of the pot filler is sufficient.
• Transplanting into trays, packs or shuttle trays (receiving trays). For this mode, the MIDI transplanter can be purchased with a conveyor kit, which buffers and positions the receiving trays.
