TTA provided Rheinlandhof GmbH & Co. KG in Germany with our MidiFlat. Rheinlandhof is a CEA facility specializing in growing multi-color and head lettuce using a deep floating technique. Plants are placed on a floating tray in the liquid reservoir.
We integrated the MidiFlat into their process for transplanting plants from propagation floats with a density of 200 plants per square meter into a destination float of 25 plants per square meter. What are the advantages of using this machine? Transplanting is faster and more efficient, and less staff is required. Harrold Thijssen explains how the machine runs by itself, making it easier to focus on other aspects of the process.
