Meet Pieter Mertens, Operations Manager at Deroose Plants Inc. in Apopka, Florida. Deroose Plants, with a production capacity of 18 million young plants yearly in the U.S., chose TTA's FlexSorter to streamline their grading process.

"We chose the FlexSorter because we needed something to grade our young plants. Labor was a significant expense, so our priority was to automate this process first," explained Pieter.

The FlexSorter utilizes TTA’s advanced PlantVision system to assess plants based on, for example, plant volume, color, and stem thickness, ensuring precise grading with minimal human intervention.

"When they came to install it, within a week, they efficiently set us up and we were ready to go. We got our first FlexSorter in January 2023 and almost immediately saw its advantages. Just six months later, we added a second one.
